The Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services is hosting a free job fair for veterans Tuesday. The event is at Quicken Loans Arena from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The unemployment rate for Iraq-Afghanistan veterans stands at 13.9 percent, nearly double Ohio’s unemployment rate, according to opinion letter published Monday by Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown . The number of veterans nationwide receiving unemployment benefits has more than doubled since 2002.
