In 2013 many celebrities tweeted their wishes for Easter, but which of these stars actually celebrate the real reason for the holiday?

BreatheCast takes a look at what some of the biggest names in Hollywood had to say about the holiday.

Carrie Underwood

American Idol winner and country music singer Carrie Underwood grew up singing in church and last Easter she made sure to point out who the special occasion is celebrating.

The singer tweeted,”Happy Easter to all! Even the grave could [n’t] stop Jesus’ love for us! He is risen and He lives in all of us! Hope you all have a blessed day!”

Jim Carrey

Canadian comedic actor Jim Carrey attended Catholic School growing up and he revealed that he believes in the teaching of Christ’s resurrection last Easter with his tweet.

“Jesus was the ultimate example of forgiveness faith and renewal. Let’s lift our spirits to a brighter place, today. Happy Easter everyone!” he wrote.

Nicki Minaj

Rapper Nicki Minaj was raised in a Christian home with a mother who is still very devoted to church today. The New York raised emcee showed that she valued Jesus’ resurgence over what is widely commercially pushed.

“The Resurrection >>>>>> easter outfits, easter eggs, easter bunnies,” Minaj tweeted.
