CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
When we talked to veterans at Louis Stokes VA Hospital in Cleveland, they were shocked the facility was flagged by auditors in Washington, and they want answers, like the rest of the public.
“I’m concerned. All our brothers are here, brothers in arms if you will, and I’d like to get them to know they’re getting as good as service as I’m getting,” said Dennis Brostek, a retired U.S. Marine.
In the audit report released Monday, all 731 facilities across the country were reviewed to see how long veterans have been waiting for treatment. A total of 112 hospitals were flagged for further review, including locations in Cleveland and Cincinnati. However, the audit did not explain why they were flagged.
