Under the Clery Act, colleges have to file a campus crime report each October 1. We looked at five area colleges and, in particular, sexual assaults on campus.

According to the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, nationally, nearly 1-in-4 women will be sexually assaulted during their college years. Stemming this epidemic has become a national focus.

We looked at Kent State, University of Akron, John Carroll, Cleveland State and Case Western Reserve University.

These are the reported Forcible Sex Offenses reported in 2013:

  • 8 at Kent State University
  • 7 at Case Western Reserve University
  • 3 at University of Akron
  • 3 at Cleveland State University
  • 1 at John Carroll University
