Akron School Closes After Break-In, Classrooms Vandalized
Akron Public Schools closed Innes Community Learning Center (CLC) on Monday following a weekend break-in that left several classrooms vandalized. School officials discovered the damage early Monday morning and immediately notified the Akron Police Department.
According to the district, the vandals broke windows, overturned furniture, and sprayed graffiti on walls. Maintenance crews began cleanup efforts while investigators collected evidence from the scene.
Innes CLC, located in Akron’s east side, serves middle school students and operates as a Community Learning Center, providing educational and community services. The school district has not announced when the building will reopen, but plans to update families once cleanup and repairs are complete.
