Who’s Ready For Some Baseball?

The Cleveland Guardians’ local television broadcast plan has finally been announced, mere hours before the first game of the 2025 MLB season.

There was some speculation that non-cord cutters – aka cable subscribers – would be out of luck, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

For cable subscribers, local games will be aired on the following channels in Northeast Ohio:

  • AT&T U-verse (Channel 736 or 1736)
  • COX (Channel 80)
  • DIRECTV Satellite and Streaming (Channel 662)
  • FuboTV
  • Spectrum (Channel 306 or 1306)

From WKYC: “Our new TV partnership with Major League Baseball expands our ability to put Guardians games in nearly 5 million fans’ homes,” said Alex King, Executive VP, Marketing & Brand Strategy. “The Guardians are committed to making our games significantly more accessible to watch on TV. In addition to extending agreements with traditional cable providers, we’ve introduced the CLEGuardians.TV presented by Progressive streaming service to all fans in our TV viewing area.”

For those who stream their television programs, a new service called Guardians TV is now available. The cost is either $19.99 per month or $99.99 for the entire season.

The Guardians have also stated that at least 11 games will be nationally televised. Those are as follows:
