Browns Sign QB Shedeur Sanders to Four-Year Rookie Deal

The Cleveland Browns signed quarterback Shedeur Sanders, adding depth to their quarterback room with the fifth-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft. The team selected Sanders 144th overall, making him the fourth of seven draft picks to sign.

Sanders brings an impressive college résumé to Berea. He played in 50 games over four seasons, completing 70.1% of his passes for 14,353 yards and 134 touchdowns. He spent two seasons at Jackson State (2021–22) before transferring to Colorado (2023–24), where he developed into a top-tier passer.

The contract is worth $4.6 million. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media notes Sanders’ deal includes a $447,380 signing bonus.

In 2024, Sanders earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors after throwing for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns with just 10 interceptions. He also added four rushing touchdowns, showcasing his dual-threat skills. His 74% completion rate in his final season reflected his efficiency and precision.

Sanders, a Dallas native, attended Trinity Christian High School. He will wear No. 12 for the Browns as he begins his NFL career in Cleveland.
