Organizers of the two-day extravaganza, were require to submit a permit application at least 90 days in advance of the concert to meet the city’s standard deadline for special events.

Unfortunately, Roc Nation did not make the deadline said Joe Grace, a spokesperson for Mayor Cherelle L. Parker, said Tuesday. The focus has now shift from the fall, and jumping ahead to next summer with the planning of how the city will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“Our planning is focused on 2026 and the 250th anniversary celebration of America,” Grace said. “We haven’t received a permit application from Roc Nation.”

Last year, the festival was canceled earlier in the year. “As purveyors of change, the Made in America executive production team is reimagining a live music experience that affirms our love and dedication to music and the work we do,” Roc Nation last april before canceling the show.
