The Parma Police Department is currently investigating two burglaries involving elderly victims.
According to Parma Police, the offender in the incidents presented himself as a private contractor working with the water department.
After talking his way into the homes, he had the victims turn on their water in the basement while he allegedly check their faucets. While the victims went to the basement, the suspect would steal the victim’s money.
The first incident happened on February 2nd at 7418 Ridgefield Road, the second occurred on February 3rd at 6378 Buckingham Road.
The Solon Police Department also has reported a similar incident on February 3rd.
