Cooking controversy in Cleveland. The city has a plan to ban restaurants from using trans fats.

It has worked in big cities like New York but can it work in Cleveland and will it end up costing you?

We caught up with Michael Symon at his newest restaurant, the B-spot in Strongsville and asked the Iron Chef himself what he thinks about the proposal to ban trans fat in Cleveland restaurants.

“I love it, I think it’s a fantastic idea,” said Michael Symon, Chef/Restaurant Owner. “I don’t ever love the rules that tell us what to eat, but trans fats are bad and chefs have known they’re bad forever.”

Trans fat clogs arteries. It’s found in many processed foods and cooking products.
