Cristo Rey High School, which opened in 2009, is promoted as “The School That Works” because of its work study program. The students work at local businesses that in turn pay for their tuition at the school. From the time students enroll in the high school, they are told that their educations are priority number one and that they are expected to enroll in college four years later. This week, 46 seniors will see that goal to fruition.
“Well be able to be proud of what we accomplished,” said Osmara Zarate.
“It makes me want to do my best,” said Marisa Shivers.
