Results of Ariel Castro’s psychiatric evaluation were revealed Wednesday and a judge ruled him competent to stand trial.
During the hearing, the man accused of holding three women captive for a decade was more vocal than he has ever been in court.
Castro, 52, first gave short answers about his psychic evaluation, saying two gentlemen talked with him for about two hours.
When the judge went on to ask about jail arrangements, Castro requested that his children be allowed to visit him.
The issue will be discussed, and the defense noted that Castro is aware of the no contact rules pertaining to the minor involved in the case, whom Castro fathered in captivity.
At the end of the hearing, the judge offered Castro another chance to ask questions.
When Castro said yes, his counsel interrupted and began to whisper to his client.
After a brief time, Castro muttered something about his child.
