Browns players teamed up with area teachers Tuesday afternoon to help them “shop” for free school supplies.

All of the teachers who joined the players are from low income areas where students often don’t have what they need to succeed in the classroom.

The supplies that were up for grabs were donated to the Cleveland Kids in Need Resource Center. Browns Offensive Lineman, Joe Thomas, and his wife Annie are top contributors to the organization.

Over the past six years, they have worked to help more then 100,000 students in the Cleveland area.

“Teachers can come, and they can kind of fill the gap between what their budget is, and what they need in order to have an efficient classroom,” said Thomas.
