GRACE UNPLUGGED 1

The hit family film “Grace Unplugged” is now available on DVD just days after winning The Movieguide Award’s Epiphany Prize as the Most Inspiring Film of the Year.

Starring James Denton, A.J. Michalka, Shawnee Smith and Kevin Pollack, the musical drama follows a complicated father/daughter relationship and explores the darker side of Hollywood. The film was released to theaters on October, but hit stores everywhere on Feb. 11 on DVD

“Grace Unplugged” beat out box-office hits including “Man of Steel” and “42″ at The Movieguide Awards in Los Angeles last week. In addition to earning Moveieguide’s Epiphany Prize, the film’s stars Michalka and Denton picked up a Best Actor award apiece for their roles.

“What an exciting and humbling honor,” writer/director Brad J. Silverman said after learning of Moveiguide’s award for “Grace Unplugged.”

“Our goal from the beginning was to make a movie that would entertain and inspire families- and to have Movieguide recognize us for doing that is more special than I can put into words,” he added.

In winning the Epiphany Prize, “Grace Unplugged” joins the ranks of films such as “The Passion of the Christ,” “The Blind Side,” and Kirk Cameron’s “Fireproof,” among many other favorites.
