Four people are alive after the car they were in was torn in two after hitting a utility pole at the corner of East 186th Street and St. Clair Avenue around 2:15 a.m. Thursday.

According to Cleveland police the driver was eastbound on St. Clair at a high rate of speed when they lost control and hit the pole. The car ended up on top of cement parking poles in a parking lot in two pieces.

The front half of the car was upright on top of the parking poles. The rear half landed upside down next to the front of the car.
