Prince Estate: Colorado Inmate Says He Is Singer’s Son, Sole Heir:

Dividing up Prince’s vast estate just got more complicated.

Carlin Q. Williams, a 39-year-old inmate in federal prison, says he is the son of the music legend and the sole heir to his estate. His claims were filed by his attorney in the same court Prince’s siblings are seeking their share of the singer’s estate.

Williams says his mother in July 1976 had sex with Prince, then an unknown singer, at a hotel in Kansas City. Williams’ mother, Marsha Henson, says in an affidavit that she and the singer drank wine at a hotel lobby then got a room at another hotel.

The journey to the summit of Mount Everest is a challange that an increasing number have taken on since the summit was first reached in in 1953 by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. Until the late 1970s, only a handful of climbers reached the top each year, an number that has steadily increased so that In 2012, the number reached more than 500.

Everest Summit Reached For First Time In Two Years:

For the first time in two years, climbers have reached the summit of Mount Everest, the world’s tallest mountain.

On Thursday, “9 Sherpa using supplemental oxygen became the first to summit on the South Side of Everest in the past 3 years [sic],” climber Adrian Balinger posted on Instagram.
Professional climbers Adrian Ballinger and Cory Richards are documenting their journey using the #EverestNoFilter hashtag on Instagram and Snapchat.
Fatal avalanches forced the closure of the two previous climbing seasons on the 29,028-foot-tallmountain.
The duo is climbing without supplemental oxygen, although their Sherpa support team is using it.

Jail Time Set For ‘Affluenza’ Teen Ethan Couch:

Affluenza” teen Ethan Couch will see 720 days behind bars — nearly two years — as a condition for his continued probation for a 2013 drunken-driving crash that killed four people and seriously injured two others.

A Texas judge in April had ordered the jail time but had given his legal team time to make an argument against the order.
On Tuesday the ruling was reaffirmed, according to Sam Jordan, communications officer for the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.
A hearing scheduled for May 16 was also canceled, Jordan said.
