In a sting operation, FBI agents arrested 48-year-old Demetrius Pitts, (or Abdur Raheem Rafiq) of Maple Heights for plotting an attack in Cleveland for Al-Qaeda.

“Thrown for a loop.”

That’s how Diane Stoudemire said she felt when she heard of her nephew’s arrest.

In a sting operation, FBI agents arrested 48-year-old Demetrius Pitts, (or Abdur Raheem Rafiq) of Maple Heights for plotting an attack in Cleveland for Al-Qaeda.

The bust was more than 2 years in the making, according to the FBI.

The man they call “an Al-Qaeda wanna be” first got the feds’ attention in 2015 with anti-American messages on Facebook.

An undercover agent got the rest.
