Former Cleveland Browns player Kadarius Toney was recently arrested for allegations of assault in Georgia.

Last week, Toney was picked up and accused of strangling a woman.

FOX 8 reports that a warrant was assigned for Toney’s arrest on January 15. He was brought into the Douglas County jail on February 6. He’s been charged with counts of aggravated assault/strangulation and obstructing emergency calls. His bond was set at $25,000 for each offense.

It is believed that Toney bonded out immediately.

TMZ reports that Toney, 26, allegedly took the woman’s phone so that she couldn’t call the police.

Toney was released from the Browns this season after playing in three games. The Browns were his third team, as he’s also played for the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs.

This is a developing story.
