If you ever witness a thug … or anyone for that matter, rolling down the street with a bayonet, that’s when you know stuff just got real!
President Barack Obama’s sarcastic remark the other night during the 3rd presidential debate caught the attention of Bayonet Inc.
So, during the discussion, Obama was going in on Gov. Mitt Romney about military policies and such:
“You mentioned the Navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, Governor,” said President Obama to Mitt Romney, “we also have fewer horses and bayonets, because the nature of our military’s changed.”
While the horses part may be completely true, an official bayonet maker told TMZ that the military still uses the seemingly outdated piece of artillery.
Dan Riker from Bayonet Inc. says the president’s comment was “ignorant … because our soldiers still use bayonets.”
The U.S. Marine Corps website says, “the weapon becomes just as effective [as a rifle] in close combat situation.”
Interesting … someone’s doing their fact checking.
